MISSIONS

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the ages."

Children of the Dump

In February 2010, Gloria and Jim Brown, thru their own generousity and the support of our congregation, went to Mexico with suitcases full of donated clothes, to work with the "Children of the Dump" mission project.

CHRIST UNITES ALL THROUGH SERVANTHOOD

At First Baptist Church, you will find at the center of Servanthood is MISSION.

First Baptist Church has sent our members to world outreach missions like Uruguay, Colombia, Germany, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua.

Over the years, First Baptist Church  has participated in mission trips to Bacone College in Oklahoma. Bacone is an American Baptist College that has been ministering to native American students for more than 140 years.

Help for Haiti: To help the "Soles4Souls" charity, we collected over 100 pairs of shoes - over a period of a couple of weeks, and delivered them to the collection point to be sent on to Haiti. In addition, we collected and sent money to ABC thru "one Great Hour of Sharing". Some in our congregation gave directly thru the American Baptist Churches website.
