Rev. Adrian Lamkin
Pastor
Our Interim Pastor is the Reverend Adrian Lamkin
Pastor Adrian, as he is already known to the FBC family, is looking forward to many
opportunities for his ministry within the community, as he works to strengthen the existing
church ministries and relationships already in place.
Dr. Lamkin grew up in Kentucky, earned a degree from Georgetown College in KY,
his Masters from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, where he also
received his PhD in Church History. His work has included that of pastor, college teacher,
seminary professor, author and interim pastor. He taught for more than 16 years at
William Jewell College in Missouri, Georgetown College and New Orleans Baptist Theological
Seminary in New Orleans.
Pastor Adrian is married and he and his wife, Dana, reside in Savoy, IL, not far from
Champaign. She is certified as a Deaf Auditory Oral Specialist and recently credentialed
by the State of Illinois as a Developmental Therapist/Hearing Specialist to work with infants
through the age of three who have been identified as needing help by their physicians.
The couple has two daughters, Sarah, age 15 and Elizabeth, age 12. Both girls are active in
ballet and band, so quite naturally, Pastor Adrian is their biggest fan. He is also an avid
basketball fan and long-time follower of the University of Kentucky Wildcats (which we do hold
against him).
